Description
Heten marble is one of the oldest stones in the country of Iran, which has been used in many historical buildings (such as the Khajoo Bridge, Naghshe Jahan Square, …) in the past.
This stone, which has black, gray, and brown colors, is very similar to Pietra gray marble with the difference that due to its high resistance, it is very suitable for outdoor spaces, street paving, etc.
This stone has a great resistance to cold, moisture and frost, and accordingly, many researchers consider this stone to be similar to granite.
Characteristics of Heten Marble:
- Very high density
- Super strength
- Good abrasion resistance
- High compressive strength
- Resistance to cold, heat, humidity and freezing
- Relatively low water absorption
- The price is right
Heten Abad marble can be processed with different methods. This stone is produced in the dimensions of slabs and tiles and is processed in the form of polished, honed, sandblasted, bush hammered, axed and tumbled.
ANALYSIS
Water Absorption | Gravity | Porosity | Compressive Strength | Abrasion Resistance | |
Min | 0.3 | 2.5 | petty | 500 | 2.5 |
Max | 1.5 | 2.8 | 2.5 | 1500 | 6 |
Heten Marble | 0.42 | 2.73 | 0.41 | 1056 | 3.4 |
For the interior of the building, polished and honed types are used. But tumbled, sandblasted and bush-hammered subs are often used in outdoor spaces and more thicknesses are considered for it.
